About This Blog:

I blog about a few of my loves, passions and interests, which I hope will be entertaining and educational, and inspire you to try them. Most everything is budget-friendly and healthy, and also fun, heart-warming or tasty!

Animals and Kitties:

I love nature and animals!  I would be with animals 24/7 if I could.  Everything in the ocean and on land.

My biggest interest is of course my wonderful kitty whom I adopted from a wonderful rescue group and a wonderful foster family.  Like any parent would, I want to capture every moment of his life on video or in photos, so I’m constantly filming him. I miss most of the best shots, because we have so much fun playing, and I just can’t get to the camera in time.  At first I tried to capture it all, but I soon realized I couldn’t.  He is my pride and joy.

Food, Fitness and Cooking:

I’m a foodie!  I love delicious food that works with my health, fitness and budget goals! I blog about healthy and inexpensive ways to make delicious recipes without sacrificing flavor.  I feel balance is key.  Most of my recipes are low-fat, low-calorie and nutrient dense which allows me to have my favorite treats from time to time like delicious cookies, cakes and ice cream.

One of the most important diet, cooking and fitness lessons I’ve learned is that there is almost always an easy way to adjust and create a recipe that fits your dietary goals  whether those goals are low-cost, low-calorie, low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, or any other dietary goal. You don’t need to sacrifice anything.

Arts and Crafts:

I love almost all arts and crafts, and I love trying new things.  Most of the crafts I do involve animals.   I love to draw, paint and sculpt.  The one exception I can think of is crafts involving yarn.  When it comes to creations with yarn, I mostly make things you can wear (like a hat or scarf),  or I make afghans.  I’ve worked in the industry for a long time.  Arts and Crafts have been a big part of my life as far back as I can remember.  As a kid, I worked in my mom’s ceramic studio.  She was very talented, and I learned a lot from her.   Stay tuned for lots of arts and crafts blog posts and videos.  Below are a few of my creations (paintings, yarn and clay)

Fun and Adventure:

I love to try new things especially things involvimg the ocean like sea kayaking. That’s me in a sea kayak below on an amazing trip on a gorgeous summer day.

I’m still on the fence about whether I want to try sky diving one day.  Maybe, I’ll start with parasailing which is surprisingly something I’ve never tried before since I’m a huge ocean lover!  I love the salt water, the sound of the ocean, sandy beaches, sea life, and everything about the ocean.  Most of all, I love the waves, swimming through them and having them crash over me

Tech Tutorials:

I don’t have a tech degree, but I do have a lot of tech knowledge and experience to share, so I thought I would try to make a few tutorials, and see how it goes.
